Kenny Miller and Jamie Mackie scored in either half to give Scotland a 2-1 win over Cyprus in a friendly on Friday. Local authorities have banned all fans from two weekend soccer matches in a clampdown on stadium unrest in Poland. Governors in Wroclaw and Lodz provinces say Friday they are barring fans from attending Slask Wroclaw against KGHM Zaglebie Lubin on Saturday and from Widzew Lodz against Zaglebie Lubin on Sunday, citing police concerns over security.

FIFA has hailed progress with Bosnia-Herzegovina to help end the country's worldwide ban from football in a dispute over ethnic politics, and resume its 2012 European Championship qualifying program. FIFA and UEFA expressed confidence after a meeting with Bosnia's emergency football management Thursday that the federation will approve new statutes by a May 26 deadline.

The Poland prime minister says his country may not be able to co-host the 2012 European Championship unless authorities and football clubs ensure the safety of supporters in stadiums. Donald Tusk met football authorities and club owners on Wednesday to pressure them into using strong measures to exclude hooligans from stadiums.

Police say they have arrested 21 people linked to last week's fan rioting in Poland, which caused safety concerns in the country that will co-host next year's European Championship. National police chief Andrzej Matejuk says more than 70 hooligans involved in the unrest have been identified through city monitoring and that steps were taken to bring them all to justice.

Fans will be barred from two upcoming league matches in Poland in a show of determination by the authorities to fight stadium rioting in the Euro 2012 host country. Warsaw province governor Jacek Kozlowski announced on Thursday that Legia Warsaw's home game against Korona Kielce on Friday will be played in an empty stadium.
