As Bolton's Fabrice Muamba remains in critical condition after his collapse during Saturday's abandoned FA Cup match against Spurs and Barcelona's Eric Abidal prepares for a liver transplant , Real Madrid offered well wishes to both footballers before Sunday's match against Malaga.
Wearing shirts that read "Animo Abidal" on one side and "Get well soon Muamba" on the other before their 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid players showed support for Abidal, a member of their biggest rivals, and Muamba, a player in a different league.
Earlier in the day, Gary Cahill -- Muamba's former teammate -- showed a "Pray 4 Muamba" shirt after scoring Chelsea's first goal inĀ its 5-2 FA Cup win over Leicester (out of respect, the referee did not show him a yellow card for removing his shirt).

Fernando Torres scored two goals and set up two others in Chelsea 5-2 FA Cup quarterfinal win over Leicester ( video here ), snapping his 26-match scoring drought consisting of more than 25 hours of play in total. I will repeat that: Fernando Torres scored two goals in one match that I'm pretty sure wasn't just arranged as an elaborate ruse to boost his confidence.
They were actually Torres' first goals since the last time he scored twice in a match against Genk in the Champions League group stage back in October, but this was easily one of Torres' best performances (if not the best, full stop) in a Chelsea shirt. Could this be the spark he's needed to finally regain his form? The fact that this coincides with Chelsea's four straight wins under caretaker manager Roberto Di Matteo and their tremendous comeback against Napoli to stay alive in the Champions League might not be mere coincidence. Though, it probably is enough to make Andre Villas-Boas burn a pile of Roman Abramovich's money out of rage and the inability to find a place to store it all.
Of course, Torres did do this against a mid-table Championship side and it was just one match that could very well be the start of another 20-match scoreless run, but none of that matters right now. After so much time looking glum on the bench and being laughed at by all of Old Trafford in his moment of despair, let the man have his moment of joy.
Here's another shot of happy Fernando celebrating his second goal with Raul Meireles' bizarre new haircut...
