N.Korea match with South moved out of Pyongyang
FIFA have moved next month's World Cup qualifier between the two Koreas to Shanghai because the North had refused to play the anthem or fly the flag of its Cold War rival, South Korean soccer officials said on Thursday.

North and South Korea will play two more times in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup after being drawn into the same group Friday for the Asian finals. The Koreas played a pair of 0-0 draws in the third round. The March qualifier was shifted by FIFA from the North Korean capital, Pyongyang, to Shanghai, China, following North Korea's refusal to play South Korea's national anthem and raise its flag.


Spain tops FIFA world rankings; US is No. 24
European champion Spain remained No. 1 in FIFA's rankings Wednesday, followed by Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. The United States dropped to No. 24, tops in its regional group. England advanced to No. 10 among the world's soccer elite, moving up four places. Coach Fabio Capello's team fell from the top 10 in July after failing to qualify for the European Championship.
