Doctors: Maradona's health improving
Diego Maradona showed signs of improving health Tuesday, with doctors saying the soccer great could be released from the hospital if his progress continues. The statement from Los Arcos Sanatorium followed one 24 hours earlier saying the 46-year-old former Argentine star was getting better despite some abnormal lab test results.

Diego Maradona showed signs of improvement Monday, four days after being hospitalized for abdominal pains, though doctors said some lab tests came back with abnormal results. A brief statement issued by the Los Arcos Sanatorium where Maradona was taken Friday said "the tendency is toward recovery" but did not specify what lab tests were conducted or just what was ailing the former soccer star.

Diego Maradona was admitted with strong abdominal pains to a public hospital intensive care unit Friday and then transferred to a private clinic where he was listed in stable condition. Doctors at Los Arcos Sanatorium clinic said late Friday that the Argentine soccer great was in stable condition and was undergoing lab tests as they sought to make a diagnosis.
